In her new movie, Soul Surfer, 17-year-old actress AnnaSophia Robb faced one of the most difficult roles of her already extensive career—she plays her real-life good friend, surfer Bethany Hamilton. Bethany lost her arm in a tragic shark attack when she was just a young teenager, but managed to find the strength and courage needed to continue pursuing her surf career despite this new obstacle. Bethany is now a champion pro surfer!

AnnaSophia donated her hand-prints to Planet Hollywood in Times Square today, where Popstar! got to sit down with her for a little one-on-one time! AnnaSophia told us what it was like to bring this inspirational story to the big screen, how her friendship with Bethany has grown, and what she did to keep her confidence up while spending so much time in a bikini!
