I thought the Play and Charge Kit doubles as a USB cable for the controller...

upgrade baseband to 06.15.00 then jailbreak then unlock
Or
customized snowbreeze firmware and unlock same time
Or what do you think!
Use redsn0w to jailbreak it. When you run redsn0w, it has the option for you to install the ipad baseband. You can click on it and it will jailbreak and install ipad baseband onto your phone at the same time.
Just to make sure you have Ipad 1 3.2.2 firmware on your computer so redsn0w can do its job.

Exciting.. now if only the Finder got it's "plumbing" re-routed.
If someone had a great idea about how Finder should look and work, it might be improved. However, since the plumbing is behind the scenes and that's been re-done a lot, it wouldn't help to simply re-route it again.

I don't think that people here will clue you in as to how to pirate a piece of software.
;)
I have heard a lot of great things about Audacity, although I've never tried it....
Tom, I understand your frustration, but I guess, I'm not sure why you would expect that every Mac come with exactly the same software complement.... it isn't true anywhere else in the computer industry. Sorry. :(

Coleman, how does that help us if we have V1.1? It doesn't ;(. What we need is a cracked V1.0.
LOL I know but I can't strip the DRM since my iPad isn't jail broken. Either we find someone with 1.0 on a jail broklen iPad or we wait until an iPad 2 jail break comes out for me to upload it.

Take through view finder = fast
Take picture while looking at LCD = slow
This. Reason #435,681 why live view should not be on an SLR.

Thanks everyone, although now there's so many to chose from! I have no idea what to look for so I have no idea what would be the best option! But at least i have some choices! Thanks again! :)

In contrast to the other thread, what things will you ALWAYS cheap out on?
For me its:
--Appliances (I have a $20 blender [it really is a piece of crap and can't cut ice or even power up enough to spin a blender with ice in it, this pretty much enraged me while trying to make a fruit smoothie the other night] and a $25 toaster oven). I would like stainless steel major appliances though.
--Dishes, every time I'm in some store that's selling teacups for $60 I just think "Who the hell needs a $60 teacup?" and then I think about the dollar store/IKEA plain white dishes I have and think to myself how awesome I am for being smart when it comes to buying dishes and silverware, lol.
--Toilet paper, I used to be a 2-ply guy like any other self-respecting individual, until the wife got me on 1-ply and seriously, 2-ply doesn't compare anymore, you can't get as clean with 2-ply as with 1-ply, this is not noticeable until switching to 1-ply, true story.
--Furniture, but make no mistake, I don't buy cheapo Walmart stuff etc. All of the stuff I buy is very nice and very stylish, but I don't need some $2000 dresser or sofa. I also like my furniture to be relatively compact in that I can't stand the enormous bulky eyesore couches/sofas most people have, so more compact stuff I think tends to be cheaper anyway (think like IKEA sofas). My $80 desk is also OK, certainly don't need a $1000 1-ton carved desk. When furniture is cheap, it's easy to deal with when you move and easily replaced for more modern/updated stuff.
--Household cleaners, generics are fine (except detergent)
--Medication, generics are usually fine
--Bath towels
--Haircuts, whether they are $10 or $50 they all look the same when you have really short hair like I do.
I probably sound like a slob who lives in an unimpressive place, but all of my clothes are quite nice/designer, nice watch, nice manbag, nice shoes, and my apartment is very modern and extremely clean, and well-kept. But for the everyday incidentals, I just don't spend much. Other than those necessary consumable things everyone needs, I tend not to be cheap with most stuff--if something isn't quality, I tend not to buy it.

This is all so funny. Almost as funny as Apple's total failure in the server market. Remember? They recently cancelled the Xserve product line and they even quietly retreated from developing a standalone server version of OS X. Did you guys laugh so much about that, too?
Here's what Ballmer had to say (http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aBLgYAyJLFug) at the Zune launch:
Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer says he can break the dominance of Apple Computer Inc.'s iPod in the digital music market with the Zune player that hits stores across the U.S. today.
Please point out a statement from anyone at Apple stating they were entering the server market to compete and win with Microsoft.

Thanks for the tip and yes, that's exactly what I did. Macbook Air has a tiny hard drive and I was running out of space. I will need to buy another 1TB hard drive to backup my TC going forward!
Ah, the air..yes and hard to upgrade to a bigger drive if i remember right. its unfortunate but yeah if its going to be a storage drive then you should back the storage drive too.
I'd back up your music off your iphone ASAP. One cant have enough backups.

(1) In regards to Excel, the program has become the industry standard kind of by default more than anything. If you look back through it's "history", Excel really hasn't changed much since the beginning. Sure, the interface is better, and the introduced more comprehensive Macros and other crap that just makes it confusing for most users, but the structure and base features are exactly the same. Frankly, the only features that are worrysome when sending Excel documents via email are the Macros, and those don't even work properly from computer to computer, let alone across different programs (ie. Excel to "Lasso"). So, long story short, I'm very excited to see what Apple comes up with and really don't think interoperability will be an issue at all.
(2) In regards to Pages, and the complaints I've seen on here about it, let's not forget that in the world of software, iWork is a BABY. MS Office has been around forever, whereas Pages is only a few years old. And frankly, it already works light years better than Word could ever dream to. If you've ever attempting to do anything in Word other than type, you know it is so chock full of bugs and quirks that by the end of your project you'd rather write it out free hand.
So bring on Lasso, and Pages '07. I can not WAIT to delete office from my Mac and be done with everything that has that dirty M-word on it forever.
That is all.

I heard they found him using findmyiphone:D
I heard that too. I also heard the illicit location data Apple was storing was actually designed at pinpointing this guy.
I'm not going to say where I heard it, but there were at least 3 "official" sources.

I keep seeing percentages but never the raw numbers. iOS and Android may be increasing their market share but is the market just increasing as far as the number of users? I would guess that iOS and Android aren't leeching customers from traditional handhelds so much as expanding the user base overall and their market share is increasing because that increased user base is only coming from those devices and not from the traditional handhelds (ie DS, PSP, etc.)

I never thought I'd ever hear this many people justifying a premium on a product. Apple has so much money right now they can pretty much do anything. If you think this is such a noble goal then when you buy your next apple product pay another hundred dollars to help their profit margins. Or so they can build better products.
And don't go looking for discounts or coupons, those hurt profit margins. Lets just raise prices.
this is directed at this whole idea of paying more and not just at the quoted post.
So many people start buying apple after their first product, if they lower the price so that more do this then in the end they may end up with more business.
I think that's a false conclusion from the data. People have been saying what you've been saying for the last 20 years, but the times they've been in the most trouble has been when they've strayed from their classic business strategy.

Going right after school with my $100 store credit from the iPhone and $30 cash. Should get there around 2:30, maybe a little later, to the Montgomery Mall MD store. Hopefully the line won't be too long, I really want the t-shirt since I haven't got any Apple shirts right now and I have to be outta there by 6:30 for a pretty important dinner party (I'd miss it, but you know... :S) Interesting though that there isn't a meetup thing for the Montgomery Mall store.
PLEASE GOD DON'T GET THERE BEFORE ME NOW!!! lol :P

Hi All,
I've unfortunately been issued a work PC, so I'm wondering if there is a way to take advantage of the real estate (not resolution) of my 30" ACD. The only way I think this will work is by doing the following:
1. Connecting the MiniDisplay cable from the Dual-Link DVI adapter into:
http://storeimages.apple.com/1837/as-images.apple.com/is/image/AppleInc/MB571?wid=326&hei=326&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op_sharpen=0&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.5,0.5,0,0&iccEmbed=0&layer=comp
2. Mini DisplayPort Coupler (Female to Female)
http://images2.monoprice.com/productlargeimages/65001.jpg
3.Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter
http://storeimages.apple.com/1837/as-images.apple.com/is/image/AppleInc/MB572_AV1?wid=326&hei=326&fmt=jpeg&qlt=95&op_sharpen=0&resMode=bicub&op_usm=0.5,0.5,0,0&iccEmbed=0&layer=comp
Is this a solution or should I prepare myself for failure? Is there a better way to do this?
Thanks!
