I've searched but can't seem to find an abbreviation or acronym thread. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I'm not sure what "OP" means and would like to see a number of others that I'm not even aware of that may be used in the forum.
Thanks in advance

>Geez your dour today Blah. What's the problem? You got a bad case of the blahs.:)
I had two cups of coffee earlier today, but that only got me through typing over 10 pages in a matter of 6 hours or so.
And don't mind Sun Banked. He's got a piss face avatar case of some sort. - :D
As for the dream, if you would like to change the color of the Yosemite and post your version, your going to have to have Photoshop, and you're going to have to do it yourself. No one can perfect this dream for you. You know what you want from this photo

Sounds like it may be something as simple as the connection in the power button. If it's still under warranty, take it in to Apple. If it's not, and you feel brave, delve into it to see what's what.

Sounds like these things ship pretty quickly.
I understand the plain white box. It's a gift for my fiance and I am sure she'll be fine with that (especially once she realizes the savings just for a box :D )

Ok, so here is the deal. I have recently found my old apple 2.1 iphone lying around from a couple years back. I'm currently on t-mobile and wanted to know how to unlock my iphone for the apps and ability to use on t-mobile. Any help would be appreciated.
--iphone 2.1 - Modem firmware 04.05.04_G (yes, this is probably outdated - havent been used in a long time )
--Itunes 10
--Mac OS X version 10.6.6
thank you

There's pretty much no chance in hell of Ivy Bridge coming out in September, let alone anything earlier than 2012. The only thing we might see this year is a added spec bump option like the 2.8 GHz Core i7 option (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/10/20/15-inch-and-17-inch-macbook-pros-receive-2-8-ghz-core-i7-option/) that was added to the 2010 MBP's.

That's cool, it really depends on what you're gonna be using it for!
The Cinema Display has got a lot going for it aesthetically, but it's incredibly expensive and it's pretty limited in terms of capability. It really depends what you're looking to spend.
I know you said you were being pointed toward the Dell Ultrasharps, that's probably with good reason. They tend to offer the most affordable solutions for the price.
An example is the U2711, it uses the same panel as the iMac and ACD 27" but it's cheaper than the ACD and has HDMI, displayport, DVI, VGA inputs, as well as having around 6 USB slots. The main difference is that it is anti-glare coated, so not reflective like the ACD. It's also CCFL backlit, which isn't as power efficient as LED, although provides a wider range of colour.
Whether that's a big deal is really down to whether or not you do print or broadcast work.
There's also the U2410, another Dell Ultrasharp, I had one for a while, but it was too bright for my eyes so got rid of it, that said, it's used quite frequently by people doing print and web work and is an excellent monitor for the money, especially now it's had several revisions.
If you're looking for something glossy, I think it's pretty much the ACD or bust.

Oh, I'm so sorry to bother you with my silly little Wii problems. I suppose I should be just fine with controllers that don't always control. While I'm at it, I should be just like you and accept that my mouse doesn't always click, my keyboard doesn't always type, and my TV remote doesn't always change channels.
Huh thats what I usually do:confused: anyway im just trying to say it is a common problem and its not like they are going to replace your numchuck.

All the posters in this thread seem to be for the AV but none have responded with a strong argument for it... Does this tell you something?
So far in the last few weeks whenever i have been involved with such a conversation no one who has been FOR the AV has argued a strong case, i would love someone to tell me what is so great about it?
Compare and contrast if you will... I ask this because the advantages of it are just not obvious to me.
How about all 3 of the major parties use it to elect their leaders?

I think that you might be able to downgrade to iMovie HD if you want the effects. Look up iMovie HD download and see if you can get a link. Apple used to have it posted, but I think they took down the official one a couple of years ago.

The only difference between me and the homeless guy standing outside of MacWorld is the fact that I paid $300 to get in.
Reality check: you paid voluntarily, for a pass that provided a set and disclosed number of services which you didn't properly inform yourself about beforehand. Buyer's remorse is not anyone else's responsibility. It sounds like you should have purchased a different pass instead.
I don't want a refund. I just think they should either offer more for educators or don't offer this type of package.
Perhaps a better solution would be to research what is involved with the pass before sinking $300 into something. If it was a bad deal and the educator sessions didn't interest you (note that those sessions are the primary REASON for the educator pass, and if you're not going to use them, there goes the justification right there), then it would behoove you not to spend so much money.
Were you completely unaware of these facts prior to you going? I guess you wouldn't know you didn't get a bag, but otherwise? And shame on you for calling it "borderline discrimination". Really now. But my guess is you had to have had some knowledge of the days events with your "educator" pass and filing a complaint will not do you any good.
Precisely.
The package isn't that great of a deal for nontechnical educators. It's not a "student/teacher discounted admission" pass. Even for many technical educators, other types of admission are more helpful. Still, this is for the purchaser to determine beforehand.

Anyone heard of "liveprofile"?
It's free on Android, IOS and Blackberries.. and works like whats app.
I just know some people who don't want to pay for an app like that (1.99 a year for whats app), personally I don't care. I just hate how I have to switch between my SMS app, Whats app and liveprofile..
I'm hoping everyone gets lifeprofile so I can delete whats app..
and is there any way someone can make an app that puts all those apps into one? so if I get a whats app msg or a lifeprofile or a SMS that I can see them all in one place?

Hey guys,
i was upgrading from SL to Lion DP2, but when i open System Preferences in Lion i still have Expose there!and even Dashboard icon in dock...did someone have this too?Or is there some problem?:D
Thx for help!
Are you perhaps mistaking the launchpad icon for the dashboard icon? Expose should still be in system preferences.

I looked at the JavaScript code that performs the vulnerability test. It's rather strange-looking, like most code designed to exploit a vulnerability. It uses a big array of X's that it fills then strips out all the unprintable characters.
