Hi All,
I have recently run into this weird system font. I have attached a screenshot to show what I mean by the weird error font. I don't remember me doing anything related to the font or the system system but just happened the next day. I have tried to seek for solution online but not successful, perhaps cause i can't explain it in detail.
Please can anyone help and let me know if there is any way that I can reverse it back to default original. Thank you very much.

safari needs a little work on it. Right now I prefer Firefox because of the tabbed window function and even more so because i can add search engines within the same window, such as google, yahoo, amazon, ebay, IMDB and webster dictionary.
Safari has tabs or do you mean something else? You can also add search engines to the searchbox using one of the many plugins at http://www.pimpmysafari.com/
the ease of use, and the fact that my Yahoo Toolbar makes it easy to share my very same bookmarks among several computers.
.Mac does the same. Obviously it's not free though.
I'd imagine you could do the same by sticking an alias to Safari's .plist on a net share but it certainly could be easier than it is now.
Personally, I prefer Safari because it integrates with OSX's spell checker, supports Bonjour, behaves like a proper OSX app with OSX native widgets and looks better.

They do. It's called iPhone SDK Essential Training. It's a couple years old but may still be worthwhile for beginners.

I wanted to be bad, I would point out that VW seems to be betting a lot money that what Americans want in a car is bigger and cheaper (in both senses of the word)...
But that might be considered baiting an easy target....

Okay, I think $100k is a *little* excessive... and could encourage those who aren't as passionate about children to pursue a teaching job just for the money.
I think starting at $50-60k would be more than reasonable... I mean for only working 9 months out of the year plus receiving the benefits that teachers usually do... that'll sweeten the deal a lot. Especially in my field, physics, the way things are now I could either start as a teacher for $40k if I'm very lucky, or $50k+ in the industry. I'm just out of college and as poor as a rat... what do you think I would do? I'm not Mr. Materialistic or anything, but I have school and an apartment to pay for.
I think the real monetary incentive in teaching should be the bottom right corner of the matrix... those who have higher degrees and have worked for many years. It'll encourage people to be into teaching for the long-haul. However, that might introduce problems with ever-changing research on effective teaching styles, so maybe that isn't just a great idea.
Just some thoughts.

you obviously haven't taught before, have you? for "only" working 9 months...the fact is, if teaching were a year-round gig, no one would do it. and i don't know what "benefits" you're talking about. someone once figured out that if you count all the out-of-school hours that teachers spend on grading, prepping, etc., many teachers are actually paid less than minimum wage.
i've always felt that not only are good teachers worth $100grand/year, but that kind of salary would make teaching competitive so that bright, enthusiastic, and promising individuals would have a reason to pursue teaching and not be turned off by the poor wages. yes, there will be some who pursue it strictly for the money, but if the wages are high enough, there will be increased competition for jobs and the good teachers will more often than not get the jobs. bad teachers or those who don't care about the kids are easy to identify.
my 2 cents...sorry for the OT rant.

No. It's fairly common sense stuff really to stick code in like class="title" instead of class="blue" to infer structure in a document, not the design.
I agree - especially about the class="blue" example. This will lead into problems as soon as the element should be given another colour in the future. However, the original post reads like "Hey, let's say this <element> is LARGE and let the browser decide what a LARGE <element> should look like, how large it should be, etc..."; and that's what I criticise.
csszengarden is also just ONE underlying document structure and not a terribly practical one either. It's there to showcase what can be done just with CSS, not how to design a practical semantically led page.
Guess the main problem is that they can't update the initial document structure afterwards - otherwise there would be problems with all the designs.

It's amazing that they can still make money selling Centipede and its peers.
Is there a Steve Jobs homage in Breakout?
They should hide an Easter egg in Breakout so that a System 7.5 SimpleText window pops up! :D See Breakout, The Easter Egg (http://www.thisoldmac.ca/wordpress/?p=75).

I finally took the time to somewhat clean my desktop in order to take this screenshot. Still way too many folders for how I like, but I consolidated nearly 60% and got them in a single column!
Left-field upper deck of Wrigley Field from right-center. Obviously edited. Pretty sure I have posted it before at some point, but it's baseball season again.

So since there is no answer to my earlier question, I take it that the posters who take issue with the tracking have not bothered to correct the issue on their phone and desktop, which would seem like they care more about posting complaints than being tracked.

I'm a long-time .Mac subscriber: Backup and Sync alone are worth $100/year to me. But email? Their email servers are down more than they're up! This is putting lipstick on a pig.

This is really funny. Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I'm the infamous seller! :) How are you guys. It's funny that most people here are laughing about the stupidity of others like myself.
But anyway, this is in no way illegal. I would know, being a student of law. In addition, eBay AND PayPal have sided with me on this matter MULTIPLE times. The only time PayPal sided with the buyer was when they claimed they never got it and I had no shipping proof. The item is accurately described, end of story. Stop crying about it and be more responsible.
Just an ending note, I've made over $2,000 doing this before and used it to buy two amazing Les Pauls. ;)
Thanks!
- Dan
Wheres your proof that ebay and paypal have sided with you? your feedback has no proof either. Liar, and a horrible one at that.

If you walk into an Apple store next Tuesday or Wednesday, do they usually have phones available after a lunch and if so, are the lines more manageable or is it a challenge to get a phone for a long time?
I am trying to decide if I should go ahead and pre-order one for 7/14 to be delivered to my house or if I could pick one up next week without quite so much insanity as Thursday is sure to offer :)
Thanks!
