A friend of mine wants to insert a small clip into a DVD movie. Now I'm trying to think of how I could easily do that in a day, and frankly I'm coming up short. So I was wondering if any of you guys could give me some advice.
So here's what I want to do in short:
Have a Movie on DVD.
Want to put a clip (friend is asking a girl to homecoming) in the middle of the movie.
Want to put the spliced movie back onto DVD.
My orignial idea was to use a camera with DV passthrough, record it onto computer, then use editing software to put the clip in and put it on DVD. But if anyone else has a better idea, that would be great.

ya, it's supposed to be thousands of units and dollars.
Let's say thousands of units and millions of dollars, ok?

Despite a few misses, Kuo has frequently offered fairly accurate information originating from Apple's supply chain, perhaps most notably pinpointing the smaller, thinner MacBook Air (http://www.macrumors.com/2010/07/15/apple-prepping-11-6-macbook-air-and-new-ipod-touch-with-3mp-camera/) ultimately released late last year.
Brilliant! He bested the other analysts who predicted a bigger, thicker MBA.

Is anyone else having this issue? Mine is not apple monitor but samsung monitor which works fine when hooked up to windows laptop.
When I connected to my new mbp 15(I tried discreet and internal) and I see screen flicking on the external monitor here and there.
Has anyone experience this? I see some article on flickering issue on apple monitor but haven't seen any on 3rd party monitor hooked up to mbp.

I have the Matte and it is a good case..slim, looks great.......BUT it has broken already. The plastic down by where the dock opening is very thin, and very brittle. I broke it one day taking it out of my pocket. I am still using it but just keep that in mind. I have a bit of sag on the back, but you can only tell if you tap on the back of the phone. Not noticeable with the naked eye

Vim.
Debugging is mainly handled within the browser. Chrome and Firefox are especially good at this (Firefox has Firebug which is useful and the standard Chrome dev tools are top notch too).
The Chrome dev tools are just the standard webkit developer tools.

Bad RAM. I've had it happen with numerous computers, which is why I paid more for the 8 GB of RAM from Apple, given they can test it prior to shipping. My memory from Apple is Samsung, which I have used a lot without issue. I don't know much about Corsair's memory, so I cannot say anything regarding their product, but I have always used Crucial with good results, and it is a favorite here.
That's for the advice! I may try Crucial or OWC which looks like they guarantee Apple compatibility. I guess the Corsair's should work fine in a standard laptop.

I hate how you have to download the entire OS every time there's a small update like this. 666MB for a few bug fixes... Also, what's up with the 666MB? Maybe we should stay away from this update guys lol.
Mine shows 650.2MB...hmmmm interesting

I have an Audi A3 2.0 TDI and I love it.
I get much better fuel economy than my previous car, doing about 55mpg on most journeys (I don't drive economically!). This is based on UK standards for measuring mpg, so you might need to convert if you live in the US (a gallon is different over here). This is offset by the higher price of diesel though.
At low speeds I do notice the noise more than my previous car, which has a petrol engine. It's not overly loud though. On the motorway it's about the same as a petrol engine - the tyre roar drowns out the engine.
I like the extra torque you get with a Diesel. It's much easier to drive at lower speeds than my last car. It's not quick off the line but once the turbo kicks in it's fast enough. At motorway speeds it's brilliant. Get into the power band on twisty roads and it's great fun.
I haven't noticed any extra maintenance or costs associated over any other car.
I would buy a diesel again, but I think I may go for something sportier next time around and will probably end up with a petrol.

I think I said it in the "Newcastle, UK" thread but I've been to the three previous iPhone launches at Darlington's O2 store and there's never been a queue before 8.30 for a 9am opening.
I can't vouch for the other two but Darlo might be an easy place to get a 4 :)
Cool, it might have to be done in Darlo. Come opening time what kind of que did they have previously? (assuming you went to the launches)
I'll try and get at the store quite early, was thinking 8:15ish

Stopped reading there.
Then you might as well stop reading MacRumors altogether.
Besides, this analyst has a fairly good track record. But as you said, you didn't read that part.

I forgot to put my Apple playing cards out on the desk for the video shoot!
Anyway, here is a picture of them. I particularly like the Joker. (That's it, I think I'll do a decent quality scan of the Joker, and use that as my avatar...)
I also forgot my collection of Pepsi iTunes-winning caps. (Yes, I still have them all.)

I'm no expert, but it's a user land exploit which is in the firmware itself. Jailbreaks on other iDevices are hardware which means Jailbreakable for life.
It's most likely going to be at jailbreakme.com, which is a .PDF used to exploit. So I guess a few days at most. It's not going to be a program like Redsn0w or pwnagetool.
So it should be pretty quick.
I don't understand why everyone is getting so mad. It got moved, chill out.
Muscelnerd tweeted that all iPad 2 jailbreaks would have to be userland. Im glad comex found an exploit...and especially this fast.

Isn't this illegal? I mean they probably need to hack into Apple's database to add the IMEIs in question, which is pretty illegal.
Does anyone know the URL to Apple's database? Since I have my iPhone IMEI number, I could copy-paste it myself without paying someone 200 bucks. :o
