I believe individuals in a healthy free market generally determine their own fate.
Where does this healthy free market exist?
It sure isn't America.

I saw people setting up camp the night before at 9:00 PM. I don't want to be that far towards the end and besides I'm going to be working while camping out so it's win/win :)
9:00 PM? I can beat that.
Just let me know what time you'll go because i'm going alone and need someone to hold my spot while I utilize the local QFC's facilities :D

I wonder how these companies got access to Apple's database. Why doesn't Apple keep better watch on it? And couldn't Apple just find out who's been accessing the database, and not allow connections from that source anymore? This all seems shady to me.
I imagine the process goes through a carrier outside of the US because many countries and carriers offer unlocks for their iPhone customers.

They asked the right question about LTE -- just didn't get the answer I wanted to hear.
but what do you expect? For them to say "Yes, we LOVE LTE and we can't wait to show you our new iPhone with LTE!"...
... if only.

1) do dual monitors use up more RAM? if so...
Nope. Memory for graphics is based upon the amount of physical memory in the system. I believe less than 4Gb reserves 128Mb for video, 4Gb and above reserves 256Gb RAM.
2) how much RAM is a safe amount (im buying aftermarket), if i want to run iTunes, Google Chrome, PS CS5, AI CS5, a lot of the time at the same time?
4Gb of RAM is safe, but 8Gb of RAM costs $80.
3) is the Core 2 Duo capable of that?! And if i got the 2.66 GHz over the 2.4, would i notice the difference.
Yes, but i don't think you'll notice much difference in proc speed. The Mac Mini ships with a 5400rpm notebook drive, so you'll find more of a performance improvement from going to a 7200rpm drive, or a hybrid SSD/HDD storage device.
4) Last but not least, if i want to use it mainly as a windows machine, and boot it from windows, how much should i keep for the mac partition.
You probably want 20-30Gb. AFAIK, Apple don't release updates for EFI and other hardware related stuff via Windows, so you will need a usable Mac OS X installation available for that.
Also, can you change how much each partition gets later on? if so, how?
You can backup, repartition and restore. You can't do it non-destructively as far as I know.

Three years ago: iPhone revenue = 10 % of Apple's revenue
Two years ago: iPhone revenue = 26% of Apple's revenue
Now: iPhone revenue = half of Apple's revenue
I think it's clear where Apple is going with iOS.

At least in this case, they got the data from the operator as they clearly said it. IIRC they got about a month worth of texts because they said there was something like 500 SMSs between the suspect and the victim. And yes, in this case the actual content of the SMS was stored as well, not just the date and number.
Again, this is Finland, not US, but I would still say they store them for more than a few days.
I understand that any retained data can be subpoenaed, but this would contradict the notion that text messages are not stored for more than a few days. Like you mention, it's two different countries being compared. Ever hear of a similar case in the U.S.?

My experience has always been that they stop at the first issue. Then there can be a whole series of fixes, submissions, reviews, and rejections. Each iteration brings you closer to approval but never with any feel for how close you might be. But your mileage may vary.
So if one as 3 things wrong with the app, A, B, C. They would usually tell you A after the first submission. And then you fix A, and resubmit. And then they tell you B, and then you fix and resubmit... etc...

Panther needs a FireWire 400 supported Mac. That is pretty much the requirement for it, if you have that it will install. If you are having problems it could be your Optical Drive or the Install CD. :)

Like a bunch of the posters already, I was in the second period of the day in my High School. The headmaster came into my class and asked us to gather in the chapel with the rest of the school. I have to admit, my first reaction before I knew anything about the trajedy was, "Sweet, no more Latin today."
It was pretty scary actually since my school was about 100 yards from the National Cathedral in Washington DC and there was some concern among the administrators that it might be a target. I ended up walking the three miles home with my mom who had to walk the whole way home from her work since the city was basically shut down.
I remember in the weeks after that every plane I saw descending toward National Airport looked like it was coming in too fast and too low to be normal.

There are threads here that talk about what PITA it is to replace the hard drive in a 2010 mini. Considering it myself. I might just wait to see if apple puts a sandy bridge 4 core in the next update. The current hard drive is slow. If I do any upgrades, will put a 7200 hard drive and replace the optical with a ssd drive. I already maxed my ram to 8GB.

So, I'm trying to connect my DirecTV reciever to an Airport Base Station that I want to extend my wireless network, which is configured using a Siemens Gigaset router for our Frontier internet.
In Airport Utility, I've got "extend a wireless network" selected, but when I try to select my specific wireless network, it says "the network you've selected cannot be extended".
So I guess my question is this: is there a way to make my Gigaset router wireless network extendable, or will I only be able to use my Airport base to extend other Apple wireless routers?
I am almost positive you cannot extend via airport extreme any other non apple device. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
Took me a few minutes of a MRoogle search and a search on support.apple.com, but I found this:
Question: Can AirPort Express wirelessly extend ("repeat" or "rebroadcast") the network of a third-party access point?
Answer: No. But it can wirelessly extend the range of a WDS network that is being hosted by an AirPort Extreme Base Station or another AirPort Express.
