Thank you very much! I hope this runs on 10.6 as well. Well, lets see. :D
yea goodluck
let me know if you have any problems.
and as for CandyBar you can do all that on your own if you know what your doing. Also check out a piece of software called LiteIcon (http://www.freemacsoft.net/LiteIcon/). not as powerful as CandyBar but it's free!!

Probably not, or you'd see Chevrolet selling the old generation Corvettes for the price of a Chevette. Just so poor people could afford a fast car.
Doubtful there is enough margin in the eMac for Apple shave $500 out of the price and still make money.

I think this is what the CDMA iPhone is for and less likely VZW...
I think it's more likely it's for both, it would make no sense for Apple to develop a CDMA iPhone and not give it to Verizon. looking at this list (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mobile_network_operators) from wikipedia Verizon appears to be the largest CDMA carrier in the world.

They always say that. Doesn't mean you shouldn't go line up tomorrow.
Yeah but this was Steve Jobs saying it. :D

This is in line with the iPhone life cycle.
2007 - iPhone (the Apple Beta)
2008 - iPhone 3G - Complete Redesign (or, IMHO, the "real" launch)
2009 - iPhone 3GS - Modest update
2010 - iPhone 4 - Complete redesign
2011 - iPhone 4.5 - Modest update
2012 - iPhone 5 - Complete redesign. (or at least, significant overhaul.)
iPad, iPod Touch & iPod Nano follow this curve. I feel like we can expect a revolutionary new device every 2 years, and a modest upgrade in between.

Yeah I don't think so. Unless you scale it to an exact multiple, it's going to look like crap.
Do me a favor. If you don't already have it turned on, turn on Dock magnification and move your mouse pointer slowly across the icons. See how they scale smoothly, and yet don't look like crap? Those icons are 256x256 bitmaps. Its all about doing things properly.

I wouldn't see it as a professional program especially compared to Apple's other music software 'Logic' which is much more functional. However, its an awesome way to get into music production and as with anything in that vein, if you can get good sounds from cheap/simple equipment then you will fly when you move up to software with more functionality! To some extent, its your skills that determine how far it can be pushed...

Hi, I have a big problem that started today, since the beginning of the App Store i've had an iTunes Store account without any credit card or billing information.
I've always been able to download free apps without any payment information and since I don't live in the US I don't have a credit card to put into my account, the only solution I seem to have is to buy an iTunes gift card in the US and then i'll be able to download apps, but it's not that easy for me to but gift cards from the US since I currently don't live there.
Does somebody have the same problem or know what should I do?
Thanks in advanced.

Why wanna wait for a 300$ iTV half a year when you can have a 24" iMac now?!?!?!?!? And I'm laughing: WIRELESS... but Ethernet Port etc. p.p.... very helpful! No thanks guys, I'm gonna buy the Cinema-iMac!!!
The iTV will be a tenth of the price of an iMac 24" (in the UK at least), so if you've already got a Mac that you're happy with why throw out the baby with the bathwater. Besides the iMac is an expensive TV if it is going to sit in your living room.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried that, and while some of the text attributes change the text remains garbled.

Yep, but is it ethical to tax him at 90?
First, 90 was a number I chose just to make a point. Second, I think it's a gradient. Ideally, most of everyone's income should stay with them, people who make very little should be able to eat, have shelter, and the ability to move upwardly should luck and hard work reward them. People who make a great deal should pay, but not because of who they are, but rather because of their finances.
It probably wouldn't, but taxing him through the nose doesn't fit with the idea of rewarding success. Perhaps a better approach would be to incentivise charitable donations and working with charitable organisations.
Success is, I would argue, its own reward. Progressive taxation still rewards those at the top, who only pay higher taxes on their increases. Even when we had very high taxation rates at the very top, we had robber barons creating and destroying companies to enrich themselves. Lowering that rate hasn't created a manifold difference in the amount of overall wealth.
Historically speaking, the post-WWII period in the US featured a huge growth of the middle-class, a growing business and financial industry, major technological jumps, and all with a higher rate of taxation.
This indicates that growth and the middle-class are not inextricably linked to the fortunes of the wealthy. I'd argue that rewarding the wealth while punishing the middle-class is foolish and far more worrisome .

The world has mostly caught on to Steve Wozniak's vision of having a computer in every home.
Ahem... Everybody likes Woz, but "one computer in every home" has ALWAYS been Microsoft's vision, not Wozniak's.
Besides, what does anybody expect Wozniak to say what his most favorite computer is? An Apple //e? A Dell XPS? A Lenovo Thinkpad? As a founder, employee and shareholder of Apple, of course he has to pick one of their own products, even if he might prefer a self-built Hackintosh over one of Apple's closed boxes. Remember? This guy invented the PC with EXPANSION SLOTS. If you find somebody at Apple who hates closed systems and walled gardens, it will be Steve Wozniak.

In line. Got here at 8:30 and was getting a ticket then they denied me. They still had about 20 tickets and about 15 people in line.
Any point standing any more in line if they can identify you?

Does anyone know if they had any inventory today (Wednesday?
I'm wondering about tomorrow or Friday. With the International launch looming it seems that supply will be tight.
I was in the middle of the line (got there around 0800) and there were no wifi-only-models left. It sounded like they had a lot of AT&T models, though.
