I found a code where it will tell me the directory : system ("pwd; ls -l");
Now when i run

My MBA is fine, and that certainly doesn't look right. It's still under warranty, so I'd take it into a store or contact customer services
I bought this BTO MacBook Air online and I'm using it everyday. I think it will take time for time replace the keyboard to me. Another thing is... This baby don't have a removable hard drive, it will give me a hard time for transfering files... :(

It's always funny to see stuff like this. The same person says:
"I think it will be out soon"
"I don't think it will be out soon"
"There's no way to know when it'll be out"
So how do you say you think it will, won't, and don't know? I'd recommend that if you don't have an affirmative or a negative answer, don't speculate. It's very confusing for those new to jailbreaking to see people who have zero ties to the developers whatsoever chiming in saying they think there will be a short term or distant term release. If you don't have FIRST HAND knowledge, don't speculate without providing evidence of how you came to make such statement.

I agree. It is annoying hearing the same people chime in with no ties to the developers. At least post a link if you know something we don't know. Otherwise, they need to stop with the personal opinions.

I don't know whether this has been requested yet, but I think that there should be a page on the guide where apps that run in rosetta are listed, along with performance rating, and possible UB alternatives.
I think it'd be really helpful.

All these crazy profits quarter after quarter, and they can't lower the prices...
Unreal greed.
Not greed at all. Likely some of the value of your parent's or grandparent's retirement funds (or maybe your friend's) might well partially depend on Apple stock. If Apple didn't sustain a strong bottom line when they could, those retirement funds could sue Apple for scr*wing your old relatives out of some of their retirement investment as the value of the stock tanks.

To wipe your data and reinstall OS X: (this is what you'll want to do, so it's set up as if the new owner was buying a brand new mac)
Insert the OS X install disc
boot your mac while holding C
Go to utilities > Disk utility
Select your hard disk in the top left
go to the erase tab
choose Mac OS X Extended (Journalled) and any name you want ("Macintosh HD" is probably preferable)
security options > Zero out data (only if you're paranoid about the new owner being able to recover your data, if not don't bother)
erase
then continue the install process

Not to get off subject but if the iPhone 5 comes out with the same processor I assume we will have the same issue with jb?
By that time, I'm pretty sure they'll have figured out multiple jailbreaks. It's only been a little over a month since the iPad 2 came out.

The reason I used a computer based VPN server is because the Apple Time capsule does not have VPN built in. If your router can serve as a VPN server, use your router.
What router do you have?
I have a buffalo WHR-HP-G54 flashed to the latest DDWRT Flash that has VPN services ........

Isn't the graph misleading? Is it 400 thousand units or 400 million units?
Edit: They've changed the legend of the graph. It's correct now. Nevermind.

How where you able to get those icons to display their stats like that.. I have geektools installed and haven't a clue how to use it
Right-click the desktop>Show View Options>click Show Item Info. From there alter the font size, position, and grid spacing to your liking.

You can convert higher bitrate mp3s to lower bitrate aac to save space, but I personally wouldn't do it. You always lose quality when you compress something that's already been compressed. You would have been better off to rerip all your CDs as lower bitrate aac.

This has NOTHING to do with being out of contract. Please stop spreading this myth.
When you buy an iPhone you buy it WITH a two year contract. Whether you use it or other networks or not has nothing to do with ATT getting their subsidy money.
I remember researching this a while back. What the AT&T rep told me: if I bought an iPhone 4 and break the contract, I would have to pay:
(1) the ETF, as well as,
(2) the difference of the actual retail price of the phone (the "subsidy money")
And they still wouldn't unlock the phone.
Even if I bought a no-contract iPhone (pay AT&T's full retail "no commitment" price), they still wouldn't unlock it.
--
I didn't buy the iPhone 4 with those stipulations. I went to T-Mobile, got a Vibrant/Galaxy S, and they gladly unlocked after a month. No way I would pay the $20 USD per megabyte AT&T int'l roaming rate, and then have to chuck the phone once I moved back home for good.

What he's doing is not so bright, but that's what he's specialized in, crack DRMs, and he's old enough to want to make a buck or two, you can't blame him trying. Sure it's not a long term plan but like any full-on criminal, he will try to break into a bank before he get's caught (again) and send to prison - regardless how much people want to rally for him - it's not really legal (sure, flame me if you're a lawyer). Breaking into someone else's house and sell a copy of the key is not exactly bright not matter what you think about the house.
End of story, I hope he'll learn his lesson one day... but I doubt it. good luck but he won't survive the legal system.

Thanks. I was was confused by the number of postings on the internet I saw which kept referring to folks saying they're using launchd now since "there is no xinetd in SL anymore" and so on. I assumed that meant it had been taken out entirely and replaced with launchd.
I'm still not entirely sure the PDF isn't wrong, though. It mentions FTP and Finger specifically as two services that use xinetd, which means they should have entries in /etc/xinetd.conf and/or /etc/xinetd.d/<service>, right? Only my 10.6 workstation has nothing like that. I do, however, have .plist files for both of those in System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ - unless the server is using xinetd while my desktop is using launchd, but that doesn't seem right.
