Warning: Spoilers ahead!
When The Vampire Diaries’ season finale airs on May 16, it’s gonna be epic. It’s gonna be so good that Nina Dobrev (Elena/Katherine) recently called it absolutely "gut-wrenching” to ABC News. She added: “People will die.” Um, yeah. We know.
Nina also admitted she was just as wrecked by the sun and moon curse twist — the fact that it was totally fake — as we were, and it "broke her heart" to discover so much from the first two seasons was "a big joke."
Don’t get her wrong though, Nina knows it was all for the sake of good TV and she admitted the storyline was a smart move on TVD producers’ parts. We agree. All a lie? Really?! We’re still kind of in shock.
Speaking of, here’s another bombshell: Nina said that although nothing’s official, “it’s assumed” she will one day play a third doppelganger. We mean, there is an Original version of Elena and Katherine wrecking havoc somewhere out there, after all.
But as much as we’d die to see that OV, we’d be a little worried about Nina keeping it together while playing three characters. Can somebody get that girl a doppelanger, please?
