Wonder how much they paid Connectix just to abandon it.

The shopping cart system I used for my wife's and my shop (A Trade For A Trade (http://www.atradeforatrade.com)) is OpenCart (http://www.opencart.com). I think it has the best code structure and admin panel design, so I also use when designing e-commerce shops for clients. In terms of your concerns:
1. OpenCart does have a template system, although it's not Smarty-based. It's pretty easy to learn though, as it's just HTML and PHP. Templates are uploaded via FTP and then you can switch between them via the admin.
2. OpenCart has many self-contained extensions, and some that require code edits. However, the recently-released vQmod (http://www.vqmod.com) system now allows for extensions that modify the code without actually modifying it. Extensions aren't installed through the admin like WordPress, but most well-written extensions are just upload-and-go.
I don't know if you'll find it the best fit, but that's my recommendation.

I dont mean to threadjack, but have a related question. I am on 4.2.1, and did an untethered jailbreak through greenp0ison. Is there a way for me to back up my apps(including cydia ones), upgrade to 4.3.2, and then jailbreak again without losing anything?

Use Console (it's in the Utilities folder in Applications) and search for events (you want to search in the "All Messages" log). By default it will show everything just like event viewer does but unlike event viewer it allows you to search for something specific. This will narrow down the list tremendously. On the commandline you'd do something similar with tools like grep, tail, head, view, less, etc.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE GET iPSP.
IMO it's a far far better app than PSPware, but the keys for iPSP have a horrible tendency to not work. The company have seemingly disappeared, and do not reply to support emails. Check the reviews on VersionTracker and MacUpdate for further instances of this.
I actually loved iPSP, the way it would resize images efficiently to save wasting space on the Memory Stick was excellent. But as the company is either dishonest or defunct, you must keep right away.
Well, it's a time bug... if you switch back your system's clock to the serial will work.

IWhat if they were all glossy? What a nightmare that would be.
I don't think you need to worry about that. Serious image editors would never use a glossy screen.

Try the reset to factory defaults button.
It's a tiny button on the back of the powerbook where the ports are, it has a small triangle symbol next to it. (You make need a poking device)
I had a 1400cs where the monitor went crazy once. The reset fixed it.

Pretty sure Microsoft wouldn't admit to holding every single conversation. I presume once they have obtained all the data they want from your conversation they delete it. But I'm no expert.

Take through view finder = fast
Take picture while looking at LCD = slow
This. Reason #435,681 why live view should not be on an SLR.

I could be wrong but I believe at this moment the PS3's Blu-ray drive doesn't upscale DVD's to hi-def. The Sony and the Samsung Blu-ray players upscale DVD's and I was wondering if this would be possible with firmware updates. If it was possible it would really solidify my PS3 as the center of my AV equipment. Although, upscaling DVD's may have something to do with a hardware component rather than a firmware problem. Sorry if this was an obvious answer i was just curious.

Hi guys,
I got my MP 2.8 Quad last week with stock config. The games are brilliant with the 5770. HOWEVER... :p me being me, i want to upgrade the graphics card already to future proof myself more (battlefield 3, and 4 and 5 ;) ).
I've seen a lot of threads about the graphics cards on here, but i need to know:
- What is the most powerful card which can be used in the Mac Pro WITHOUT extra cables/ peripherals.
- Do any of the 69XX cards work in the Mac Pro? Which ones and how? Cables?
- Would there be space for a 2nd card insertion if the first was a 69XX?
Thanks a lot :)
Oh, and it is fine if the card works only under Windows, as long as there is enough space to keep the 5770 under Mac. :)

If the new mini gets sandy bridge it will be 50 percent faster then your machine at a minimum, more like 80 or 90 percent faster.
I was thinking of waiting then I looked at Apple's website and for what I use the Mini for, they have a 2010 Refurb with a 2.4 and 2 GB Ram for $599 witha new 1-year warranty. I am not a big fan of the intel integrated GPU and I am not sure they will offer anything more than an i3 and i5 so for this price, I am going for one. I have a 4GB Ram kit to toss in, and I have a great HDD and monitor, as well as external storage, so if I can not play COD on high res, I will just tune it down, I use it mostly as a media server anyway.
Thanks for everyone's input though.

NightStorm, glad to see another fellow MacRumor member in my neck of the woods.
Likewise; there are a few of us on here, but not nearly enough. This release date is perfect for me as I had planned on taking the 26th off anyways since I have some extra vacation days to use before the end of the year. Figure I might as well make the trip up to the store and see what it's like for a product launch. :)

Am I the only one that thinks this is a lame looking sandwich box? Also, I have my stuff on my Mac in another room. That's switched on, whilst I sitting in the living room watching my stuff on a TV, isn't that a bit pointless? Why not make it hard drive compatible or even put the content on the box?
More money than sense, and not much sense at that. Big screen TV's are a rip off, and the so-called 'sexy iTV' is quite the opposite.
Why don't they just put a HDMI socket on a Mac Mini? This would let you use Front Row on your flat screen TV, this gives you the option of DVD's, USB TV cards (and video recording), etc.......You can already access media on other comps via front row!
iTV only seems to be a Airport Express with a video output!

How much more could the cards value possibly go up. Except for a collector who would pay more for the original card than what the computer its going into will be worth. So IMO I would sell it.

Another stunning set of results, only thing that anyone might nitpick is iPad sales but considering some were holding on for the iPad 2 and that product was DEFINITELY supply-limited it's still a superb performance and more than doubles their PC sales. Decimates the rest of the tablet space that's for sure and the q3 performance is going to be VERY interesting.

What about Tandy's Deskmate? I used this in the mid-80s on the 12MHz Tandy 1000 TL/2 running MS-DOS 3.3... I think we even had a mouse with it. :)
