well, I know apple marketing says 'no' to this now I guess, but could I mod the snow base station perhaps to do what I need?

One thing that doesn't quite make since to me though is why does it rely on networking if it's all local? I know this part must be true because I find that folding frequently crashes and/or becomes corrupted when I change networks.
For security reasons I think its the only way for separate processes to communicate with eachother. This way Safari can't send large chunks of data to mail.app for example.

Wondered if anyone would have any use for a PC around here...(Most likely not) Would prefer some sort of localish trade/sale :)
Its a Scenic P230, 3.2GHz P4, 1GB Ram, 80GB HDD, 1 DVD RW and one DVD drive. Has PCIx16, with a Nvidia 6200 in there atm.
Where are you from?

After the fiasco with the iPhone 4, they should be testing new or altered designs. Put them in the field now so a simple "antennagate" problem happens again.
The iProd is the iPad, which isn't surprising. But the unknown device could be Apple TV or an iPod Touch. Hopefully soon we will find out.

The mainboard of the current iBooks supports clock speeds up to 800Mhz. This is what we will see shortly.
Putting in a G4 means redesigning the whole thing from the ground up. BTW, the G3 runs OS X fine, just that the old machines "feel" slow without QE support. I, too, would love to see a 13" screen in the current casing, and improved graphics performance. (I still got the ATI Rage M3 8MB in my 600 MHz combo iBook.)

Hi,
first, determine if the OB3 drawbars are sending MIDI! if so, then in your LAYOUT editor, create 9 drawbars. you'll need to highlight each drawbar to activate/put into LEARN mode. as you move each drawbar on the OB3, you should see the highlited drawbar move. Again, assuming the OB3 drawbars send MIDI data... Let me know how it turns out... i've had my eye on getting one for a long time but none of the sellers could tell me if the '3 was sending data...

This was bound to happen. With the increase in popularity with Android, the GalaxyTab appears to be selling well. With more competitors releasing their tablet computers in the near future, Apple's market share will get even lower.
Maybe they can hold onto the majority, maybe not. With the sudden boom of Android phone owners I'm seeing, I'd say not in the long run.

If you need help, there is a Help menu in nearly all OS X applications and all Apple ones. Best way if you need help in a pinch.
It is a big difference from Windoze... a help system that actually works!

I know this is more of a 'current affairs' thing but...
There are some amazing photos coming from Egypt at the moment, ones of defiance, strength, unity etc. Some really amazing scenes.
I wanted to create a thread to showcase some of the photos taken.
I'll start by showing this one:
A Muslim man holding the Koran and a Catholic man holding a Cross. Egyptians standing united.

The other thing is that it must be nice knowing your airbags weren't faulty... sad that that is something to be glad for, but it is. I knew someone who flew off a mountainous road, his car slammed into a boulder then ended up wrapped around a tree and still his airbags did not engage.
Yea, although it doesn't really matter now that the car is destoryed LOL. I know a few people whos airbags have gone off when they were just driving along.
Her car has enough airbags to make the car float in water. Front, side, rear side, front column airbags, knee protection airbags, etc.
Even cooler as so as the airbags deployed the car automatically called 911. It first goes to BMW assist people who then talk to the police. Very good invention if you got in an accident and no one saw it.

You'd have to be fairly close to them for more than a brief encounter and the radiation dissipates after awhile. Not only that, they'd have to get fairly large doses in the first place to emit much radiation.
I think the real concern would be not so much the animals themselves. For an animal to represent a real exposure risk, it would probably have to be so "hot" that it would not live very long at all, nor would anything that were to eat it. It is about the contaminated material they might pick up and carry away from Fukushima. Each creature just has to bring us a very small amount, enough of them in concert, over time, could in theory make our cities, or parts of the, uninhabitable. Not sure what we could do to prevent it.

I've seen no reports that this allows you to do anything but download/play one song at a time. That's my experience--the player says it's playing on iCab-identified-as-desktop-Safari but nothing happens.

SBSettings. I certainly use it the most. Just a nice little menu for turning on/off BT/WiFi/3G/etc. Also lets you easily close apps running the background.
