Everyone knows that "climategate" and the like are complete bunk. Here's (http://www.newsreview.com/sacramento/hotflash/blogs/post?oid=1929206) a nice in depth debunking that was sent to Sen. James "proud to be named Earth's number one enemy" Inhofe.
The PDF is rather extensive, so I doubt anyone will actually read it. I doubt Inhofe read it, either. Or anyone in Congress, for that matter, but it shows that "Climategate" was an attempt to falsify the hypothesis of climate change and that it failed to do so.

Well I forgot I had a dual boot setup on my powerbook so I just turned it on and proceeded to do something else. When I returned it had booted to Linux and had gone to sleep. The thing is, it doesn't wake up gracefully on Linux and in this case it didn't wake up at all :( I held the power button -> no luck, I then removed the battery -> still no luck... I mean, wtf?? I removed the battery and the sleep light was still flashing:eek: So i gave her(it) a kiss and apparently I'm no handsome prince so still no luck. Any suggestions? :o thanks

I like the idea in principle, but it might lead to others wanting a special interest group of their own. For example, I'd like to see a special interest group in medicine, but the demand for that would likely be small!

Hello,
If you're in Europe, you may benefit from using Apple Europe (time.euro.apple.com) as your NTP server.
This may be set by default when you installed the system. If not, look under System Preferences > Date & Time.

Apple has posted a complete podcast of their Macworld 2007 keynote address. Check it out on iTunes. :D
"Watch Apple CEO Steve Jobs kick off the Macworld Conference & Expo 2007 with a keynote address that covers new developments, including the iPhone and Apple TV.

Viewers actually started to side with Windows because of his lovable underdog persona. Attacking your competitor is a double-edge sword.
To be honest those ads didn't improve my faith in Apple or what I think of them - I just found them entertaining. The PC character was good with his dry sense of humor too, although the Mac character was a bit sickly.
What I find good is when companies poke fun at themselves. Fox does that TONS on The Simpsons.

I really like the composition and the differently colored areas. Not equally fond of the noisy/grainy stuff though.

From what I understand, you can make your own phone, so long as you don't sell it. I mean, if you have the means to make a mean phone (wow, haha), then I believe you can do it.

I know what this is... this is an example of a Company trying to out do Apple Computer Inc.
The brilliant Marketing and Product design folks there forgot to check the MacRumors site where they could have easily caught wind of the XServe.
The Moral of the Story... Nobody does it better, makes me feel sad for the rest...:(

You need to be jailbroken to install this. The easiest way would be to install in through iTunes by dragging the .ipa (second download link) into your Apps section and then syncing through iTunes, but you'll need AppSync to do this which requires JB.
That's what I was afraid of!:(
Dammit we need an ipad 2 jailbreak already!

How many Intel Macs in public release? None.
How many PPC Macs installed across the globe. Millions.
Do you honestly think that software suppliers are going to ignore that market?
By the time PPC software is obsolete, your new G5 will be too.

im quite suprised at the battery life. when mine arrived i charged it for an hour, well i say charge more like filling it. i took it off charge and played around with it, and its still going 2 days later (i use it at least 3 hours a day), the battery is 25% full... i still need to do a full charge but the battery life is amazing.
i was messing around on the baby before trying to kill the battery (playing Music Quiz amongst others) but it was having none of it... didnt even drop a pixel.
the 18(apple)-26(ipod lounge) hour battery life is completely feasable.

i would wipe it clean with a fresh install of XP
I'd wipe it clean with a fresh install of Amiga or SUSE.
P2P in general always brings weird stuff. even if not a program itself, downloads from P2P programs cab have weird stuff or be weird stuff that you aren't expecting. stay legal, don't do P2P (unless you are ACTUALLY doing LEGAL stuff with it, which not many people do)

If you have your HD set up this way, can you access it from anywhere or just on your home network? I'm wanting to get all my music and movies set up this way so that I can free up space on my mbp, but I don't want to lug around a portable HD everywhere I go

I would love that. I have the original BlackBook right now and love it, the design and color scheme (obviously) is what does it for me. Of course that and Mac OS X :)
But yea, having a higher spec'ed Macbook would be great.
