Vanessa Hudgens seems to be out to prove that she has moved on from her High School Musical era, with her recent roles in movies like Sucker Punch and Beastly.
Now, Hudgens is reportedly in talks to star in another movie called Gimme Shleter, an indie flick that seems like it will help her stray even more from her Disney days!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hudgens is in final talks to play a homeless, pregnant teenager in the film. The plot involves Hudgens' character fleeing from an abusive mother to find her biological father, Brendan Fraser, whom she has never met.
At first, her father takes her in to help her, but when she refuses to abort the child, Hudgens' character gets thrown out. The film will be written and directed by Robert Krauss and is reported to begin filming in Connecticut at the end of May!
While Sucker Punch gave Hudgens a chance to star in an action flick, this will be her first time in a completely dramatic role. Can she handle it!?
Hudgens also has another movie coming out in September - Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, the flick where she met her current rumored boyfriend Josh Hutcherson. Coincidentally, Hudgens's future co-star, Fraser, starred in the first Journey To The Center Of The Earth film.
