If it was just the screen, the iPod would still sync with your computer. I had a problem like this before and I just left mine alone for a few days until the battery ran down, then it started working again.

If nothing else works, you may just have to chock it up to old age (6 years is an eternity in Apple's walled garden!)

Remember the days when Palm was the device/company of choice for Mac users? Now look where they are. I'm not saying abandoning Mac users lead to their downfall, but as an example of getting what you deserve for an institutionalized culture of not listening to your customers and becoming a sluggish, innovation-free vacuum, it's pretty tasty. In its place? A list of vendors which includes Microsoft. Who'da thunk?

OP: Sorry if a bit late but just read the thread. Ask yourself some questions:

1) Do you need Thunderbolt? Would you get it because you would daisy-chain 6 RAID HDs and an external monitor or would you get it to say to your friends 'I have Thunderbolt'?

2) Consider your needs. I do FCP video editing so I'd need the extra power from an MBP. Do you do video editing? Do you manage RAW photo files or anything similar? If no, get a 13" MBA. If yes, MBP.

Personally, for you I'd get a nice 13" MBA. Get the 4GB RAM though, as MBA RAM is non-upgradable.

Given that Nyko has all but officially abandoned the adapter that would have allowed PS2 guitar controllers to work on PS3, I've turned to a new dream.

I'm no programmer, so if I'm completely outta my gourd I trust someone will slap me sensible... The Xbox 360 GH2 controller is a USB device with an extra button for Live. Would it be possible for someone to write a driver to make that extra button act as the button required by the PS3 to initiate a PS2 game, and permit the 360 guitar to be used on the PS3 to play the PS2 Guitar Hero games?

so i had my ipod touch 4g with ios 4.1 jailbreaked with limera1n. today i decided i didn't want jailbreak anymore cause i didn't really use any of the cydia apps or cracked apps. so i decided to reset all settings then make a restore. i went to settings menu and hit reset all settings and delete all data. but i'm stuck at the logo with the circle waiting. what should i do? does a reset take that much time?

The only thing I would suggest is to add some sort of variation to the velocities of the tweets beyond your sliders. Maybe the tweets could be weighted based on how many times they've been retweeted; the more retweets, the louder the sound produced.

Hey guys, for the past 2 weeks ive had the strangest problem with my powerbook g4 (revision C). Its been shutting off without me hitting anything. I would get the are you sure you want to shut down your computer now? dialog box and i would hit cancel then a few minutes later it would do a forced shutdown. Sometimes when i try laucnhing an application it will say it cant because the computer is shutting down. I have no idea what the problem is, any help would be appriciated.

^ But it's not too hard to do now. The iPad and iPhone have been out for years, and the DS even longer. I imagine they could do it.
I hope they don't, or rather I hope they don't ditch physical controls. I'd hate the next gen consoles to have an iOS-style controller setup, eep! That'd push me straight to PC-only gaming.

It's not so bad now. For what I paid for a TV 2 years ago I can now buy the same brand, same size but in 3D (with other additional 2D features).

Personally I'm waiting for a more convenient display method like the 3DS.

Eeek that takes hours between formating and applying all the updates. Not to mention restoring your files and stuff like that.

I generally try to keep my format & reinstalls (the windows dance) down to every 6 months but I've done 4 over the past 2 weeks. :mad:

I've never had a frayed iPod or iPhone cable.

Sounds like some people are pulling on the cable instead of pulling the plug area.

Updates:

Now , somehow it worked but there is a catch..

Under CS4 it will only start to draw lines when I click twice on the trackpad.

Meaning whenever I lifted the stylus over, I have to click two to draw something again.

Now, can you imagine what is it like to write a sentence with that setting//:eek::eek::eek:

Some Mac expert help me out..!!

It was the only RPG i have ever played. I thought it was a great game, just wish i had bought it for the SNES while it was still for sale a retail stores. I can't really justify spending $50 on a used SNES cartridge. Hopefully it will come out for the virtual console.
