Maybe they're waiting for HSPA+ to become more widespread. As it stands, only a few major cities have the expanded backhaul

Unfortunately, most people are NOT computer savvy and when they see an Apple Mac at 1GHz and a PC at 2.5GHz and two thirds the price, which do you think they will pick?
It's the same reason people will pick up a Gamecube over an Xbox - They don't take time to find out what comes with either, they just pick the cheapest. Nemo: "Well it does the same thing, dunnit?"

Can you buy cooling systems, fan regulators and lights? No.

Do you have different types of hardware manufacturers, competing for your money? Well yes, but not as much as PC users.
The very market Apple has always played for and still plays for today, to some extent, is people who are computer illiterate. Nearly all of their advertising campaigns say: "Macs are easier to use that PCs." Thereby trying to attract those who can't use PCs, or at least, find them difficult to use.
Mac users are the most disillusioned people that i've ever seen. You guys lie and lie and lie to yourselves time and again, just to make yourselves feel better about buying a Mac.
In general, if you want a computer for gaming, you DO NOT buy a Mac, unless you're very stupid. I'd say about one tenth of the games that come out on PC, also get released on Macs, and even when they do, it's a few months to a year after the PC version is released. Granted, Apple is doing an amazing job of getting more games developers to release OSX version of their games, but still, most of the time Mac users have to wait for the game to be release after the PC version. Although, basically all of the best games do eventually get released on Macs. The words "Mac Gamer" is an oxymoron and the words "Hardcore Mac Gamer" is just a myth.
A Mac is a great computer, so stop bull****ting yourselves about all of the things you think it can do and just accept that Macs are still more stylish and more stable than PCs and have, in my opinion and i'm sure yours, a much better looking and interesting to use OS. PCs are slowly catching up to Macs in that department, especially with regards to stability and if you really want a stylish computer, it's easy to find as long as you have someone that can build it. I'd personally, rather have a well build, aluminium case (NOT Lian Li cr@p) cased computer than a white, plastic Mac that anyone can buy.

Lets hope they remaster them - the stereo effects on the original versions can be really painful on a pair of headphones.
While it can seem weird by todays standards... I think it's great to be able to critically listen to them as originally recorded to see what fantastic work and pioneers they were in the studio arena.

I don't think there was a problem until Apple entered the music business. At that point Apple Records got a bit nervous, since there might be confusion. Obviously if I want to start Apple Lawnmowing Incorporated, there is no problem between me and Apple Records. It's all about the similar markets.

Working in a retail shop (photo goods); I can say that margins on hard goods is so razor thin, requiring ad-ons makes sense. It also keeps scalpers away for the likes of the iPad 2.
Thats fine and good - my only point was that I couldn't believe Apple was allowing this. They are very protective of their image and allowing Radio Shack to REQUIRE applecare and a case probably won't sit well with customers. This is why I think it is store managers or maybe regional managers pushing this? I would have to say I would really be surprised if Apple knew this and allowed it. I mean it's not like Apple needs Radio Shack here. It's more the other way around.

Not being an American, I won't wade into Constitutional issues but I wish our PM would have stayed out of this as well. It's a very dangerous precedent to meddle in another nation's civil war. Perhaps if the West had stopped playing nurse maid to these dictators in the past the problem wouldn't exist.

I have multiple Macs, more than 10, so I'm not spreading FUD.
You must just go on the site and read what people say and don't do anything javascript intensive.
There are many threads of SAFARI complaints on here and on Apple Discussions if you don't believe me.
So far, Safari 4.0.4 seems more stable, but they still need to fix the spinning beachball problem, which also many people have complained about.
I suspect that on Macs FLASH and Javascript would be mostly the causes of these problems, but on the iPhone, there would still be Javascript problems in Mobile Safari since they are based largely on each other.

It's really amazing to see here people justifying the price of Windows Vista, when not even corporations think about migrating to the "new" OS in 2-years time...Vista is just a rehashed NT, and no company will need it in the short term.
Corporations have many more factors to consider prior to updating than the general consumer. Price is only one of the many factors. In many cases the sticker price of the OS itself is the least restrictive factor when considering upgrading for a corporation.

I just received my Mac Pro and started opening it up to see how it was put together. I wanted to know what parts Apple used. A Sony super drive and a Seagate SATA hard drive. I am adding pictures as I take them. More than what I posted before.
