    Sad news, indeed.

Joshua 1:9 -- "For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

Or, Josuha 1:9 as translated by Levinas: "I will not abandon you nor will I let you escape."

yeah dont bake the thing in the sun but for a little while or if you take it in and out of the sun that will be fine.

as for if it will work or not i have no idea. all you can do is wait until its totally dry, id say at least a day or two. then try to use it. but dont try to use it before then.

if it still doesnt work you will have to have someone look at it and see whats wrong.

i hope it gets working easily for you. poor lil mac :apple::(

if you cannot connect it via ethernet, then get a USB wireless print server adapter.

Most banks will buy back currency. You get robbed if you do it at the airport.

There is no Apple iOS device that supports SPP at this time.

    From Apple's own site: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647

There is also this interesting excerpt...

    http://www.rovingnetworks.com/Docs/WiFly-RN-370-DS.pdf

"Apple Computer requires an additional Bluetooth
authorization co-processor for every device that
    connects to the iPhone."

Is this is limited to just the iPhone? Probably not.

The biggest problem with public schools today is the tenure at the university level, and the unions at the state and local level. These teachers become so sheltered, so buffered from the real world they have no business teaching children. A teacher should not be impossible to fire, as they mostly all are today. Tenured professors end up as hot-air spewing left wing buffoons with little to no understanding of the real world. Union school teachers end up fat and lazy, no need to put any effort in since its damn near impossible to fire them, no matter how poorly their students perform. Even for serious offenses, they simply get transferred to another school instead of fired or reprimanded. What a broken system.

So by that logic, all schools in states with no unions should be topping the rankings? I guess I should have gone to Clemson or USC...

Yikes! It's certainly not a faulty fan, but it could be a few other things. The fact that the computer froze during the spill indicates probable logic board involvement, and that there's no light on the power adapter confirms it. I'll bet that, if you managed to remove the main logic board and the battery connector, you'd find massive visible damage on the underside of the battery connector. I wouldn't exactly recommend doing so yourself (it's not very easy, and there's a possibility for further damage), but this would be a third confirmation that it's a logic board issue. I know that's not what you want to hear :(. The good news is that your data and your hard drive is probably fine :).

    I hope this helps.

A faster Hard Drive really does that much? Interesting. Thanks

    [/lilstewart92]

Sure does, the HDD in the eMac is 3000rpm faster than the one in the iBook. It makes a huge difference when the computer has to page in and out of the HDD. An iBook can be faster if you use a Firewire external 7200rpm drive and make it your boot drive.

check out the rating on the apple store. almost every persons has died....not reliable at all

Hmmm--you must mean Time Capsule--not really possible for Time Machine to die since it is not a hardware item. Regardless, I just wanted to add that Time Machine verifies the integrity of the backup every time it does a backup which is why sometimes you will run into the situation where it will be seemingly doing nothing for a long time--will seem to be stuck on "preparing"--for sometimes hours--it has most likely encountered a problem and has lost its way so it is rebuilding its database--just leave it alone and it will fix iteself. I personally love Time Machine--but I also use Super Duper for my hard drive as well--just in case.

I'm looking at purchasing a workout armband for my iPhone 4, but I don't want to have to take my iPhone out of it's regular case (Speck Fitted case) each time I want to work out. I would really love to find an armband that would allow me to slide the iPhone (in the Speck case) into the armband. Does anyone know of any armband that would let me do this? Thanks in advance!

Eeek that takes hours between formating and applying all the updates. Not to mention restoring your files and stuff like that.

I generally try to keep my format & reinstalls (the windows dance) down to every 6 months but I've done 4 over the past 2 weeks.

I'm trying to use the bloomberg anywhere app on ipad, as I'm a bloomberg professional user. When opening the app, i receive a security alert stating that the app detected that the ipad was jailbroken, and refuses to run. Is there any way to prevent apps from detecting the jailbreak? thanks

Wait.. soon enough there will be a daemon that will sandbox apps into their own memory space so that you can use them without that annoying detection.
