Osama bin Laden is dead!
The hunt for the mastermind of the 911 terror attacks is officially over. President Barack Obama addressed the nation Sunday evening stating, "Justice has been done." The President confirmed that there was a shoot out at a mansion outside of Islamabad. Osama bin Laden's body is currently in the US possession.
Osama Bin Laden was shot in the head at least once by US Navy seals, after what has been described as a brief exchange of gunfire. The location of the Pakistani compound where Bin Laden was hiding was confirmed last week, and the President gave his order to proceed with the military operation against Bin Laden on Sunday morning. US special operations forces tookcustody of OBL's body and DNA testing has confirmed his identity.
This is history in the making and exciting news for the world.
Bin Laden created and funded the al Qaeda terror network, which was responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. The Saudi exile had been a man on the run since the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan overthrew the ruling Taliban regime, which harbored bin Laden.
Ironically, today marks the 8th anniversary of George W. Bush's "mission accomplished" speech.
